Mentoring
Initially, many of our mentors had some fears, which subsided after mentor
training and experiencing the power of the initiation weekend. The joys
of mentoring teach you many things: How to listen, without giving your
own fantastic advice. How to be a better parent to your own children.
What it's like to be in the middle of adolescence and how to make a difference
in a young man's life.
It is amazing how innocent and tender these young men are. They are eager
for this kind of attention and admiration from older men.
Mentoring is fun, it's fulfilling, and it is desperately needed. Here is your
opportunity to help one young man down a successful path to adulthood.
Other Ways You Can Help

there are other ways you can help support this vital cause. You can tell
a friend about our organization. You can volunteer your time, skills,
and energy - we always need help! Or, you can send your fully tax deductible
check to Boys To Men Mentoring Network.
Step forward and make a difference. Call us today at (713) 461-3555 for
a challenging and inspiring adventure aimed at empowering each man to
develop a mission of self, and a mission of service.

We also have many volunteer opportunities for men who choose not to mentors.
We need your special skill or talent!
If the mature men of the the world don't take care of our boys, who will?
We need men to walk with them, talk with them, and model healthy masculine energies.
We need men willing to spend 3 hours every other week to bring these boys to
our I group meetings at Crown Point on Mission Bay. We have fun, have a barbecue,
and give our young men a place where they can talk about their feelings and
what's going on in their lives. This is the only place these young men can sort
out what is going on inside them. This is the most important part of our program.
Is is wonderful to see the changes in the young men after six months in the
groups.
This program will not work without your help.
